Saturday's Sidewalk Sale!

This is the final big sale that you don't want to miss. We all know that for the past week everything in the Polished Pear has been 50% off, but who would have guessed that the sale includes our new inventory?! On Saturday at 10:00 a.m. the Polished Pear will hold it's final sidewalk sale before the season ends for summer. There is new inventory that will be at this sale that has not been seen by anyone in the store! This should encourage you to get out of bed and get out and buy for ridiculously low prices. If you wait until the afternoon than all the good stuff may be gone! Here are pictures of some of the items in the store that will be available Saturday.

As you can see by these pictures, the sale on Saturday will be something that you don't want to miss! Everything will have a great price on it! If there is something that you like, but would prefer in a different color then ask us how much it would cost to custom paint the piece. See you all Saturday morning!!!

Season Closing!

Yes that's right, the Polished Pear will be closing for the summer months. That's the bad news, but the good news is that everything in the store is now marked 50% off the normal price. The normal prices were already cheap too! So hurry in and take advantage of these great deals that are going on. You had better hurry though because we are only open one more week. Here are a few pictures so you'll know what to look for when you come to see us.

SMD Interiors

Here are the pictures of the little girl's room that SMD Interiors recently re-decorated. You can truely see a great difference from the beginning until now! Part 2

Ok. So I began working on the cabinet tonight that are shown in the pictures on the "Refurbish Your Own" page. It's still not finished, but it will be in the sidewalk sale on Saturday morning if you like the finished product.

I began with using my little Black and Decker sander to take off all of the rough spots. If you remember the black spot of paint from earlier than you will notice that all traces of that are removed. This only took a few minutes to run this small sander all over the cabinet to take off alot of the smooth top of the finish so that the paint that comes next won't rub off easily. Here are a couple pictures to show the work in progress.

There are only a couple of pictures because the work isn't through yet. There will be more to come or you can simply show up on Saturday and see it finished in front of you. See you soon!
